Summer is the perfect time to explore new styles, level up your skills, and dance with amazing teachers. Whether your dancer is just getting started or ready for a serious challenge, Footlight has a summer program built for them.

Cecchetti Ballet Workshop

Ages 9–18 · August 25–27, 2026

A focused, three-day deep dive into the Cecchetti ballet method for students with two or more years of ballet experience. Classes are offered in Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the Cecchetti syllabus — and students must complete Level 1 before enrolling in higher levels.

Schedule:

  • Grade 1 — 4:00–5:15 PM

  • Grade 2 — 5:30–6:45 PM

  • Grade 3 — 6:45–8:00 PM

Summer DANCEcamp

Ages 7–9 · For students entering 2nd–4th grade

Five days of non-stop dancing, creating, and fun — that's what DANCEcamp is all about. Each day from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, campers explore Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Hip Hop alongside arts & crafts, dance history, choreography, and more. The week wraps up with a performance for family and friends.

  • Hailey #2 — July 13–17, 2026

Dance Tapestry

Ages 9–18 · August 3–5, 2026 Community Campus Studio · 1050 Fox Acres Road, Hailey

Three days. Four amazing teachers. One unforgettable intensive.

Dance Tapestry brings master guest faculty to the Wood River Valley for a full-immersion workshop experience in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Students train at the Junior, Intermediate, or Advanced level — with a packed daily schedule designed to push every dancer further than they thought possible.

Guest Faculty:

Adrienne Kerr — Ballet & Pointe Principal dancer with Ballet Idaho, Adrienne trained at Pacific Northwest Ballet on full scholarship and signed her first professional contract at 17. Her performance credits include Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake, Firebird, and a wide range of Balanchine and contemporary works.

Heather Cagle — Jazz & Conditioning Creative Director of The LPs and a performer with DCDC, South Chicago Dance Theatre, and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Heather creates spaces where creativity, communication, and community thrive. She brings a dynamic, storytelling-forward approach to everything she teaches.

Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill — Contemporary/Modern Founder of Project Flux Dance and a graduate of Arizona State University's BFA program, Lydia has created over 30 professional works and collaborated with organizations around the globe. Her choreography has earned numerous awards and her teaching draws from Graham, Limón, and Horton techniques.

Austin Fernando — Hip Hop Director of AF Dance in the Treasure Valley, Austin trained at Culture Shock and Studio FX, competed at Vibe, BodyRock, and Hip Hop International, and showcased at BoogieZone United in Japan. He brings a high-energy, technically grounded approach to Hip Hop.

Levels & Rates:

  • Junior Level (Grades 5–7) — $250

  • Intermediate Level (Ages 12–16) — $300

  • Advanced Level (Ages 14+) — $300

  • Drop-in single class — $20
